The 7 Best Roku TVs of 2026, Ranked & Reviewed

The short answer

The Roku 55 inch Select Series 4K QLED is the best Roku TV for most living rooms. The 65 inch Plus adds a Mini-LED backlight and size at a similar price tier, while the 75 inch Pro covers large rooms. Smaller rooms are served by the Westinghouse 50 inch, the Roku 43 inch and the Hisense 32 inch.

People buy Roku TVs the way they buy any TV, by diagonal first, and that is backwards. A 65 inch set with a basic panel can look flatter in a sunny room than a 55 inch QLED, because color range, brightness and contrast decide whether a picture pops, not how many inches it covers. Look at the room and its windows before you look at the size.

We reviewed seven Roku-powered TVs on paper, comparing size, panel type and resolution from their listings, and left out the Roku Ultra, which is a streaming player and not a television. Brightness and refresh figures are not in our data, so the ranking rests on panel class and resolution, with price tiers noted. Confirm refresh and brightness on the live page before you buy.

Before you buy

What Actually Matters

01

Screen size and distance

A common rule is to sit about 1.5 times the diagonal away for 4K, so a 65 inch TV suits roughly 8 feet. Measure your seating distance and wall width first, and let those numbers guide whether 43, 55, 65 or 75 inches fits your space. Too large a screen up close makes you scan the picture instead of watching it.

02

Resolution

4K has four times the pixels of 1080p, and the difference matters most on screens above 43 inches. On a small set the gain is subtle, so do not pay extra for 4K on a screen you sit far from. Look for 4K in the title. The Roku 40 inch and Hisense 32 inch are Full HD or HD, while the larger Roku and Westinghouse models list 4K.

03

QLED

QLED adds a quantum dot layer for richer color, improving vividness over a basic LED panel. It does not change the backlight design. Check the panel type in the title. The Roku Select, Plus, Pro and Hisense list QLED, while the Westinghouse leaves its panel type unstated, which makes color depth a guess.

04

Mini-LED

Mini-LED uses many tiny backlights for better contrast and higher peak brightness. It helps in bright rooms where glare washes out ordinary panels. Look for Mini-LED in the title, as on the 65 and 75 inch Roku models, and check dimming zone counts on the maker's page, because more zones normally means finer control.

05

Roku platform

Roku TV puts all your streaming apps on one home screen, and it saves buying a separate stick. The platform is the same across sizes, so you pick on panel and price. Confirm Roku in the name, and remember that app availability can differ by region, so check that your services are supported.

Our Ranked Picks, Reviewed

1

Best Overall

Roku 55-Inch Select Series Smart TV 2026-4K QLED TV - Roku TV

Our verdict: A 55 inch 4K QLED that fits most living rooms.

The 55 inch Select Series is a 4K QLED Roku TV, in the $200 to $500 tier. QLED places a quantum dot layer in front of the LED backlight, which widens the range of colors the panel can show over a standard LED set. Combined with 4K and a 55 inch size, it covers the common case of a family living room or a large bedroom.

It ranks first because it combines resolution, panel class and a mid-size screen at a moderate price. The Plus above it adds Mini-LED and ten inches, but needs a wider wall.

Buy it for a typical living room. The caveats are that brightness and refresh rate are not listed, so check them before you decide, and that it lacks the Mini-LED backlight of the 65 inch Plus. If your room is very bright, the Plus is worth the step.

2

Best Step Up

Roku 65-Inch Plus Series Smart TV - 4K QLED Mini-LED TV - RokuTV

Our verdict: More size and a Mini-LED backlight.

The 65 inch Plus Series is a 4K QLED Mini-LED Roku TV, in the $200 to $500 tier. Mini-LED replaces the usual backlight with a denser grid of tiny LEDs, which helps with contrast and with the peak brightness needed to fight daylight. For a room with large windows, that matters more than extra color range.

It ranks second because it adds Mini-LED and ten inches over the Select at a similar price tier, and a bigger screen is usually what buyers want. The tradeoff is room: 65 inches needs a wide wall and a stand that fits it.

Choose it for a bright living room with space. Skip it if your wall is narrow. Check the stand width against your furniture, and check dimming zone counts on the maker's page, because the listing here does not give them.

3

Best Big Screen

Roku 75-Inch Pro Series Smart TV - 4K QLED Mini-LED TV - RokuTV

Our verdict: A 75 inch Mini-LED for big rooms.

The 75 inch Pro Series is a 4K QLED Mini-LED Roku TV, in the $500 and up tier. It carries the same panel class as the Plus, at a size that turns a wall into a screen.

It ranks third because it costs the most and only suits large rooms. The Plus offers similar technology at 65 inches for less, and in most living rooms the added ten inches go to waste. A 75 inch set also asks for a deeper seating distance and a sturdier stand or mount.

Buy it if you sit far from the screen in a big room. Skip it if you sit close, since an oversized picture tires the eyes. Confirm the weight and mounting pattern before ordering a bracket, because the listing does not state either.

4

Best Budget 4K

Westinghouse Roku TV - 50 Inch Smart TV

Our verdict: A 50 inch 4K Roku TV at a modest price.

The Westinghouse is a 50 inch 4K smart TV with Roku built in, in the $200 to $500 tier. The listing gives no panel type, so what you know is the size, the resolution and the platform.

It ranks below the Roku Select because the Select adds a QLED panel at a similar tier, and a documented QLED panel beats an unnamed one when the price is close. This Westinghouse is the simpler choice, with fewer claims to verify and fewer features to learn.

Pick it for a guest room, a second TV or a playroom where color depth matters less. Skip it if you want QLED color or Mini-LED contrast. Check the panel type with the seller before ordering, since the listing is silent and viewing angles differ between panel types.

5

Best Compact 4K

Roku Smart TV - 43-Inch Select Series 4K HDR RokuTV with Roku

Our verdict: A small 4K HDR set for bedrooms.

The 43 inch Select Series is a 4K HDR Roku TV, with no price tier available in our data. It is the compact 4K option, sized for bedrooms and small apartments.

It ranks fifth because it delivers 4K at a small size, unlike the 40 inch below it, which is 1080p. HDR support in the listing matters too: it lets the set display a wider range of brightness on compatible content. The tradeoff is that it has no QLED panel, so color is plainer than on the 55 inch.

Choose it for a bedroom or small apartment where space is limited. Skip it if you want a large living room screen. Confirm the price on the live page, since our data has no tier for this model.

6

Best Small QLED

Hisense 32-Inch Class QD4SR Series Hi-QLED HD Smart Roku TV (32QD4HSR

Our verdict: A 32 inch QLED that works on a desk.

The Hisense QD4SR is a 32 inch Hi-QLED HD Roku TV, in the $100 to $200 tier. QLED at 32 inches is unusual, and it lifts the color of a small screen without raising it to 4K. HD here means the picture is below 4K sharpness.

It ranks sixth because the screen is small and the resolution tops out below 4K. Within its size class, though, the QLED panel makes it a more appealing choice than a plain LED 32 inch set.

Buy it for a dorm, kitchen or desk. Skip it if you want 4K or a screen you can share across a room. If you need more picture, the 43 inch Select costs more and delivers 4K resolution.

7

Best Small Full HD

Roku 40-Inch Select Series Smart TV 2026-1080p Full HD TV - RokuTV

Our verdict: A 40 inch 1080p set for small rooms.

The 40 inch Select Series is a 1080p Full HD Roku TV, in the $100 to $200 tier. It is a bedroom-size set with the same Roku platform as the others.

It ranks last because 1080p at 40 inches trails the 4K 43 inch model, and the listing shows no HDR or QLED. Against the Hisense, it gives you two more inches of screen but a plainer panel. Resolution matters less on a small TV, which is why this one is acceptable at all.

Choose it for a small bedroom TV on a tight budget. Skip it if you want a sharper picture or richer color. The 43 inch Select adds 4K and HDR for a small step up in size.

Quantum dots improve color. Roku 55 Select, Hisense 32 and Roku 65 and 75 all use it.

Mini-LED

A denser backlight improves contrast. Roku 65 Plus and Roku 75 Pro have it.

Most buyers should default to QLED unless the room is bright.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do all of these use Roku?+

Yes, every TV here runs the Roku platform built in, so no stick or extra remote is needed, and your Roku account carries across models. The Westinghouse, Hisense and Roku models all share the same home screen and accounts.

What is the biggest mistake?+

Buying by size only. Panel type matters in bright rooms, so a 55 inch QLED can beat a larger basic set. Check the listing for QLED or Mini-LED before choosing the diagonal, and think about window glare in the room.

Is Mini-LED worth it over QLED?+

In bright rooms, yes. The 65 inch Roku Plus adds Mini-LED at a similar tier to the 55 inch Select, which makes the step easy to justify if you have large windows or watch with the lights on.

How do I set one up?+

Connect to Wi-Fi, sign in to Roku and add your apps. Setup is nearly identical across the Roku, Westinghouse and Hisense models, and takes only a few minutes, mostly spent on logins.

Do I need a Roku Ultra?+

No. The Ultra is a streaming player, so these TVs do not need it. Every set in this ranking has Roku built in, which is why we excluded the Ultra from the ranking, and you can ignore it when comparing.

Is 1080p enough?+

At 40 inches or less, yes. Above that, choose 4K, as on the 43 inch Select or the Westinghouse. A sharper panel shows its value as screens grow, because individual pixels become visible from the couch.

Final take

Buy the Roku 55 inch Select for a typical living room, or step up to the 65 inch Plus when the room is bright and the wall is wide. The 75 inch Pro is for large rooms and long viewing distances. Smaller rooms suit the Westinghouse, the 43 inch Select or the Hisense. Choose panel class before screen size.
